The Centre continues Inkluzioni’s work in inclusive education, speech therapy and early childhood intervention.
Inkluzioni pioneered the introduction of assistants for children with disabilities and learning difficulties in schools and pre-school settings in Gjilan.
Intensive interventions were delivered at Thimi Mitko, Selami Hallaqi, Musa Zajmi and Abaz Ajeti schools with local and international support.
Across five pre-schools and two schools, 250 children with communication difficulties were identified and more than 1,000 sessions delivered.
The Centre was established in January and became fully operational in February as a sustainable, community-based response.
Why “Ana”?
The Centre is named after Ana, a 17-year-old girl diagnosed with autism. Her journey and her mother’s extraordinary dedication inspired Inkluzioni’s work and the development of programmes grounded in the real-life challenges families experience.
Access and impact
A private speech-therapy session costs approximately EUR 20, with children typically requiring 2–3 sessions each week. At its current capacity, the Centre saves families an estimated EUR 4,000 every month.
